Colombian President Announces Breaking Oath and Taking Up Arms Over Trump's Threats

Colombian President Gustavo Petro issued a statement on X, saying that he is ready to take up arms if threatened by US President Donald Trump.
The Colombian President said that I swore not to take up arms, but for the sake of my country I am ready to take up arms once again.
This statement came at a time when the United States detained the President of neighboring Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, through military action over the weekend.
It should be noted that US President Donald Trump had warned the Colombian President, saying that he had called him a sick man in his congratulatory and insulting words.
President Trump had said that Colombia is run by a sick man who is interested in making cocaine and selling it to the United States, but he will not be able to do so for long.
At one point, President Trump was asked if he was talking about a US military operation against Colombia. To which President Trump responded that he was pleased to hear about the possibility of US military action against the current Colombian government. In a statement released on X, President Petro said that Colombia's anti-drug policy is strong, but he stressed that there are limits to the use of military force.
