Azerbaijan Rules Out Use of Its Airspace for Military Action Against Iran
Azerbaijan has reiterated that its airspace and territory will not be used for military operations against Iran or any other neighboring state.
The position was conveyed by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a phone call with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, News.Az reports.
Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan remains firmly committed to the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference. He stressed that Baku will not allow any third party to use Azerbaijani territory or airspace to launch attacks or conduct military actions against Iran.
The foreign minister also called for restraint, urging all parties to avoid steps or rhetoric that could heighten tensions or undermine regional stability. He underlined that dialogue and responsible diplomacy are the only sustainable means to ensure peace and security in the region.
