The PTA has made it illegal for users to register all SIMs in their own name and use SIMs registered in someone else’s name.
According to the PTA, the full responsibility for misuse of the SIM will lie with the registered user, and users will be responsible for the use of their SIMs and telecom connections.
The PTA says that compliance with the regulations on calls, messages and data usage is also mandatory, while legal action can be taken in case of violation.
